Established in 2004, Lancers International School (LIS) has emerged as one of the leading international schools in the Delhi National Capital Region. As an authorized IB World School and Cambridge International School, we provide a transformative educational experience that prepares students for global citizenship and lifelong success.
LIS offers the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, Middle Years Programme (MYP), Primary Years Programme (PYP), and Cambridge IGCSE. These globally recognized curricula emphasize critical thinking, research skills, and international-mindedness. Our academic framework is designed to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.
The IB Learner Profile attributes are integrated throughout our teaching methodology, fostering students who are thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. Our curriculum is regularly reviewed to incorporate best practices in international education and align with the latest pedagogical research.
Beyond academics, LIS emphasizes the holistic development of each child through arts, sports, community service, and leadership programs. Our 8-acre campus in Gurugram's DLF Phase 5 provides state-of-the-art facilities including science laboratories, innovation hubs, sports complexes, and performing arts centers. We believe in educating the whole person, cultivating intellectual, physical, emotional, and social growth.
Our comprehensive extracurricular program includes over 50 clubs and activities ranging from robotics and debate to yoga and environmental stewardship. Students participate in Model United Nations, international sports competitions, music and drama productions, and community outreach projects that develop character, resilience, and empathy.
Lancers International School is accredited by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO), Cambridge Assessment International Education, and is a member of the Council of International Schools (CIS). We are also recognized by the Haryana Department of Education and consistently ranked among the top international schools in India by educational surveys and parent feedback.
Our faculty includes IB examiners, Cambridge trainers, and subject matter experts with an average of 15 years teaching experience. The school has received numerous awards including the "Excellence in International Education Award" (2022), "Best Infrastructure in School Award" (2021), and "Green Campus Initiative Award" (2020) for our sustainability efforts.
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Lancers International School is designed for students aged 3 to 11. It focuses on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, both in the classroom and in the world outside. The PYP is a framework guided by six transdisciplinary themes of global significance, explored using knowledge and skills derived from six subject areas, with a powerful emphasis on inquiry-based learning.
Our PYP curriculum includes language (English and Hindi), mathematics, science, social studies, arts (visual and performing), personal, social and physical education. The programme culminates in the PYP Exhibition in Grade 5, where students demonstrate their understanding of a real-life issue through an in-depth collaborative inquiry. Our early years program (ages 3-5) follows a play-based approach that nurtures curiosity, creativity, and foundational literacy and numeracy skills in a supportive, multilingual environment.
Special features of our PYP include daily language instruction (French, Spanish, or Hindi), integrated technology using iPads and interactive whiteboards, outdoor learning in our nature exploration zone, and a comprehensive assessment system that values student reflection and goal-setting. Parent workshops and regular communication ensure families are active partners in their child's educational journey.
The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) at LIS provides a framework of academic challenge that encourages students aged 11 to 16 to embrace and understand the connections between traditional subjects and the real world, and become critical and reflective thinkers. The MYP emphasizes intellectual challenge, encouraging students to make connections between their studies in traditional subjects and the real world.
Students study eight subject groups: language and literature (English), language acquisition (French, Spanish, Hindi), individuals and societies (history, geography, economics), sciences (biology, chemistry, physics), mathematics, arts (visual arts, music, drama), physical and health education, and design (digital and product design). A unique feature of the MYP is the personal project in Grade 10, where students complete a significant piece of work over an extended period, demonstrating their understanding and skills.
Our MYP curriculum integrates concepts, global contexts, and approaches to learning (ATL) skills across all subjects. Service as action is a core component, with students engaging in community projects that develop civic responsibility. We offer differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs and provide academic counseling to support students' transition to the Diploma Programme or IGCSE.
Lancers International School offers the Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) as an alternative pathway in Grades 9 and 10. The IGCSE is the world's most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year olds, recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide. It develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in subject content, intellectual inquiry, flexibility and responsiveness to change, cultural awareness, and communication.
Students typically take 7-9 IGCSE subjects including compulsory English, mathematics, and sciences, plus electives from categories including languages, humanities, creative and professional subjects. Our IGCSE offerings include First Language English, English as a Second Language, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Management, History, Geography, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Art & Design, Music, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, French, Spanish, Hindi, and Physical Education.
Our IGCSE program emphasizes application of knowledge, problem-solving, and practical skills. Students undertake laboratory work in sciences, fieldwork in geography, and projects across subjects. The curriculum prepares students for the academic demands of pre-university programs while developing transferable skills like research, analysis, and independent thinking. External assessment by Cambridge International includes written, oral, coursework and practical examinations.
The IB Diploma Programme (DP) at Lancers International School is a rigorous two-year pre-university course for students aged 16 to 19 that leads to examinations and is widely recognized by the world's leading universities. The DP curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS), and the extended essay (EE).
